The first time I heard of the Seven Sebring Raceway Hotel was when my husband’s company got an invitation to attend a seminar that was being held there. I had heard of Sebring International Raceway, but not being into car racing, I never had the desire to go. It seems I have been missing out.
If you’re a racing enthusiast looking for an exhilarating experience right at the heart of the action, look no further than the Seven Sebring Raceway Hotel. Nestled near the iconic Sebring International Raceway, this hotel offers an unforgettable stay for both racing fans and leisure travelers. If you’re flying into the Orlando International Airport, it’s about a 2 hour drive. In this article, we’ll delve into the features of the hotel and explore what makes it a must-visit destination in Sebring, Florida.
Spacious Rooms and Proximity to the Race Track
The rooms at the Seven Sebring Raceway Hotel are designed with both comfort and convenience in mind. Offering a range of sizes to suit various needs, the rooms provide ample space for relaxation and rejuvenation after a thrilling day at the race track. Whether you’re traveling alone or with a group, you’ll find accommodations that cater to your preferences.
I was a little concerned as the elevator brought us to the fourth floor. It looked dark and old and a little creepy. But once we entered the room, we realized that they probably just haven’t updated the hallways yet. The room was nicer than expected after seeing the hallway.
Room Amenities
Every room includes a mini-fridge and a microwave. They all have large flat screen TVs. Ours had a full sized couch and coffee table too. The coffee makers are the tiny one-cup units with trays that slide in. They do have cream and sugar in the room. I like to drink coffee, so I brought my own creamer since they had a fridge.
The beds are incredibly comfortable. That was a real surprise, as were the fluffy pillows. I didn’t expect an older hotel to have such comfortable beds, but they must have upgraded them during the recent renovation.
They do have some large suites in the hotel that have full kitchens, and larger balconies, so be sure to ask for availability when you call to book.
Spectacular Views of the Race Track from Your Room
The hotel’s location couldn’t be more ideal for motorsports enthusiasts. Situated in close proximity to the renowned Sebring International Raceway, you’ll be just steps away from witnessing incredible racing events and soaking up the electrifying atmosphere.
We stayed in room 407, which I highly recommend because it’s directly in front of the infamous “turn 7”, for which the hotel was named. Imagine the excitement of waking up in the morning and hearing the roar of engines echoing through the air as drivers prepare for an action-packed day on the track.
One of the unique features of the Seven Sebring Raceway Hotel is the opportunity to enjoy breathtaking views of the race track from select rooms and balconies. Imagine sipping your morning coffee while gazing at the high-speed action unfolding right before your eyes. It’s an experience that truly immerses you in the world of motorsports and adds an extra layer of excitement to your stay.
Since we were there for a seminar and not a race, we didn’t get to see what it’s like on race day, but we did get to see cars practicing, which was pretty thrilling in itself. They approach that turn 7 with such speed, it’s insane! And boy are they loud!
I can only imagine what it’s like there on a race weekend.
Fitness Center
The Seven Hotel also has a small fitness center. It includes some weights, a cycle, eliptical and treadmill. In the two days that we stayed here, I never saw anyone in it.
Hotel Meeting Spaces
For business travelers, the hotel also offers exceptional meeting spaces equipped with modern amenities. Whether you’re organizing a corporate event, conference, or team-building session, the hotel’s versatile meeting facilities can accommodate your needs and provide a professional setting for productive gatherings.
The seminar that my husband was attending was for a local roofing supply company. The room they booked was huge! I was surprised how big it was. There are also smaller meeting rooms and boardrooms if you just want to book a meeting there.
Their restaurant can accommodate private lunches, and provides snacks and coffee for attendees during breaks.
Culinary Delights at Apex Restaurant
After a thrilling day of racing or exploring the city of Sebring, treat your taste buds to a culinary adventure at the Apex Restaurant. Located within the Seven Sebring Raceway Hotel, this dining establishment offers a menu of pizza, steak and seafood. It’s not a huge menu, and I was disappointed at the lack of vegetarian options, but their pizza is pretty good, so that is mostly what I ate there. Their dessert was quite good too. They had a good variety of beer on tap, including one of my favorites “Pernicious” from Wicked Weed in Asheville, NC.
I would say that the breakfast buffet isn’t worth the $12. I wanted to check out the Runway Cafe which is around the corner in the airport terminal, but didn’t have time. The menu looked really good and you can’t beat the prices.

While the Sebring International Raceway is undoubtedly a paradise for motorsports enthusiasts, the city of Sebring itself offers a multitude of attractions and activities for visitors to enjoy.
